Here’s a revealing editorial, written by a meat processor, about the mentality of some hunters. You’ve undoubtedly heard of deer meat getting donated to food pantries. Well, it turns out that some of this meat enters these programs due to hunter negligence — they bring their freshly killed deer to a meat processor, promise to pick it up after butchering, but never return. The appeal isn’t in eating what you kill, it’s blasting an animal and then, no doubt, eating TV dinners instead. Link.
