Important news out of California. Mercy For Animals just released a major investigation of a Turlock battery egg farm. The story has already been picked up by San Francisco’s ABC News affiliate. The news segment offers one of the most scathing indictments of egg industry irresponsibility I’ve ever seen. The best part is that neither the United Egg Producers nor any of the top California egg experts would comment on the video. And the company president refused to watch the video. I wonder why.
This investigation gives a huge boost to the Humane California ballot initiative, which would ban battery cages as well as veal and gestation crates in the state.
