Yesterday was a big day at HSUS. We released another exposé of routine dairy cow abuse at a New Mexico livestock auction, raided a Tennessee puppy mill and rescued nearly 700 dogs, and assisted in a cockfighting raid in Kansas which seized more than 200 birds and tens of thousands of dollars.
The USDA’s response to the dairy cow investigation was very different from the response it put out in reaction to our first downer investigation (which we released last January). Some selected news coverage of the case includes Reuters, Associated Press, and USA Today.
It’s amazing what consistently great work HSUS does.
