Agriprocessors Boycott Called Off

July 9, 2008

An Orthodox Jewish group that has called for a boycott of Agriprocessors has just rescinded their boycott, claiming that the company has taken encouraging steps toward reform. Perhaps those steps include dismantling the alleged on-site meth lab. Given Agriprocessors’ abysmal record of animal and worker treatment, if there was ever a company that should be forced to install slaughterhouse video surveillance, this would be it. It’s baffling to me that this boycott would be halted in the absence off such surveillance. Link.
