Smithfield Slaughterhouse Workers Face Unionizing Vote

Workers at America’s largest pig slaughterhouse, owned by Smithfield Foods, are getting the chance to vote on whether to unionize. It’ll be interesting to see if a union shop can remain competitive in the marketplace, given the worker exploitation that occurs industrywide. Link.
