Here are two words that should never appear side-by-side, “Child Matador.”
A little Damien sort of child, whose father is a bullfighter, just participated in an afternoon massacre in which he slaughtered six bulls back-to-back. Well, not really bulls; more like barely grown calves who a normal eleven year old might ask to go out and play with.
The child matador bit does draw a crowd: a claimed 3500 people, many of them children, attended the event. In response to critics, the kid says:
The bullfighting opponents shouldn’t stick their nose in things they don’t like. No-one is forcing them to watch bullfights or to keep informed about them. It’s as if I told a boy who does motocross not to do it, it’s very bothersome.
Does he really not understand the ethical difference between riding a motorcycle and slaying cattle for sport? (Thanks, Matthew.) Link.
