The Peanut Corporation of America’s salmonella outbreak is so widespread, and makes such a mockery of current government oversight practices, that President Obama has just ordered a thorough review of the FDA.
Hard to imagine such a review being ordered if this recall had happened during Bush’s watch. Link.
