Greenpeace Employees Expose Whaling Corruption; Face 10 Years Prison

March 23, 2009

Want to see the sleazy lengths the Japanese government will go to in order to protect its whaling industry? Look no further than this story.

Two Greenpeace members discovered whale meat being smuggled for the black market, so they intercepted a box for evidence and turned it over to the authorities.

Now the Greenpeace members, after being jailed for 26 days, are being charged with stealing that meat, and are facing up to ten years in prison. Unreal. Link.
