Paul Shapiro just tweeted a link to an article about HSUS’ efforts to abolish the worst factory farming cruelties in Ohio. The article is clearly slanted towards the industry’s viewpoint, and includes this amusing line:
It’s our contention that people who produce food know a lot more about it than Washington/Hollywood activists.
Maybe the industry knows more, maybe they don’t. But when they ignore the animal cruelty angle, they guarantee themselves an ass kicking in the court of public opinion. Link.
