McCartney Launches Meatless Mondays

June 15, 2009

Paul McCartney and his daughters are behind a new campaign called “Meat Free Monday,” which aims to get people to abandon meat for at least one day a week.

Once you start having meatless days, it becomes a lot easier contemplating becoming a part-time or full-time vegetarian. With McCartney behind this campaign, a ton of prominent people are jumping on board.

One mistake in the article, though: it calls McCartney a “life-long vegetarian.” As I understand it, he and Linda actually went veggie well after the Beatles broke up. (Via Sullivan.) Link.
