The BBC has published detailed projections for how swine flu is likely to affect Britain in the months ahead, in terms of illnesses, fatalities, and disruption of industry.
All useful stuff, but these projections become completely worthless if the virus mutates in a substantial way. In the 1919 pandemic, which killed up to 50 million people, the world population was fewer than two billion. Link.
