NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has given Michael Vick the green light to return to the NFL, with full reinstatement apart from a four after a five game suspension to start the regular season.
But Vick still has to find a team that’s willing to take him. And what team would want to risk alienating their fans for a quarterback with a limited shelf life?
I’m betting wherever Vick ends up (my guess: a team with silver helmets), he’s not long for the NFL. Vick’s running gifts are certain to have diminished, and he’s never put up great numbers as a passer. Link.
Update: the NFL is calling the reinstatement conditional. Translation: “Unless you’re photographed snorting cocaine in a strip club while brandishing an automatic pistol, welcome back!”
