Maybe Michael Vick ought to have thought twice about signing with the Eagles. It doesn’t appear that the city of brotherly love is ready to embrace their new backup quarterback.
ABC News quotes one (now former) Eagles fan saying:
I was a huge Eagles fan – I would always watch them if they were on, even if all my relatives liked other teams. But now, I’m absolutely disgusted.
And another fan is selling his season tickets:
The last thing my son and I want to see is Michael Vick in an Eagles jersey. We made up our mind to sell the tickets … $3000 cash gets the tickets. Any info feel free to ask, serious buyers only, I want the deal done fast.
Eagles fans aren’t noted for extending olive branches. Their main claim to fame relates to booing Santa and barraging him with snowballs. And Vick ain’t Santa.
