3800 pigs died from lack of ventilation after somebody deliberately cut off their airflow and also disabled an alarm that would have notified the farm’s owners of trouble.
I bet this gets traced back to a disgruntled employee. The person obviously knew his way around the facility, and he timed the vandalism to occur just a few days before the animals would have been transported to finishing sheds. (Thanks, Bea.) Link.
