Dumb Ass Swine Flu Quote of the Month

November 17, 2009

Food writer Rachel Chaddock’s latest column is headlined, “Don’t avoid pork because of swine flu scare.” I couldn’t agree more. You should not avoid pork because of the swine flu scare, you should avoid it because of the appalling cruelty, the saturated fat, and the incredible nastiness associated with pig lagoons.

In any event, Chaddock is telling people that pork has absolutely nothing to do with swine flu.

Let me be clear…The disease isn’t found in pigs at all. So wash your hands and enjoy some piggies!

The Folsom Telegraph, in which this article appeared, apparently does’t have a budget for fact checkers. Not only has swine flu been conclusively traced back to pigs, the current strain of the disease showed up in some Minnesota pigs less than three months ago. Link.
