Beef Company Cancels Attempt to Raise $276 Million

Some happy news: a beef company’s effort to raise more than a quarter billion dollars through an IPO has been withdrawn. The economy’s lousy, and the market for beef is even worse, so National Beef’s decision to cancel its IPO is not much of a surprise. Still, the move is a major setback for one of the beef industry’s big players, and reason enough to break out the party hats and confetti. Link.
