Mostly excellent Time magazine coverage of the escalating problems facing Japan’s whaling program. The piece does, unfortunately, contain one idiotic sentence:
Despite the fact that they may have committed piracy by boarding another vessel in the high seas and demanding money from the captain, public sentiment is on the activists’ side.
A single unarmed person sneaking aboard a ship to present the captain with a bill is an act of piracy? That’s like claiming that Photoshopping a person’s image is an act of terrorism. (Via Hawthorne.) Link.
