Every so often, I’m tempted to move to a new state just so I could help vote some asshole politician out of office. This time around, the subject of my ire is Hawaii’s state representative Joey Manahan, who is pushing a bill that would formally recognize cockfighting as a legitimate cultural activity. According to Manahan:
It’s not about the negative things associated with it. It’s completely cultural especially for Filipinos it’s our national sport and that’s all we’re saying.
