Veganizing Betty Crocker

As I noted in my Jamie Oliver review yesterday, I’m a sucker for anyone who sets insanely ambitious goals. A couple months ago, I wrote about PinkVegan, who’s blogging her way through every last recipe in Goudreau’s The Vegan Table and Ronnen’s The Conscious Cook. Her latest entry, for Ronnen’s “Artichoke Ricotta Tortellini With Saffron Cream Sauce,” scored a whopping 9.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

But move over Chay, there’s another crazy ass food blogger on the block—actually two of them: meet Dan and Annie Shannon who—get this—are blogging their efforts to veganize every last recipe from the original edition of The Betty Crocker Cookbook. Better yet, you don’t see too many people in the vegan world with genuine writing talent, but Dan and Annie have got it in spades, as a bit of time spent reading their blog will reveal. Their summary of this project:

For as long as it takes – Dan & I will be veganizing every recipe in The Betty Crocker Cookbook and sharing our tips and secrets with you.
