Nothing like a nice minimalist vegan food photo.

I sometimes go into these two-week jags of making split pea soups and dals almost every day. They’re ridiculously quick to make, filling as can be, and even when you’re using organic split peas each bowl costs about twenty cents. Add lots of cayenne and maybe a warm tortilla or roti and you’re in business.
