Pollan and Schlosser on Food Safety Bill

November 29, 2010

Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser just contributed an Op-Ed to the New York Times, in which they urge the passage of the food safety bill, which may be voted upon tonight by the Senate. If the bill passes, the government will at long last have the authority to demand food safety recalls, rather than meekly ask for a voluntary recall.

Of course, all they really needed to say was that the United Egg Producers, those champions of animal welfare and the public health, are opposing the bill. Link.
