Dioxin Fears Shut Down Germany’s Animal Farms

January 7, 2011

I knew this would get ugly fast. The New York Times:

German officials halted sales from more than 4,700 small farms after dioxin was found in some feed for chickens and pigs and as fears grew about how far contaminated food might have spread.

I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Anyone who lives in Germany would be insane to not switch to a vegan diet until the scope of this outbreak is absolutely clear. The country’s factory farms may never fully recover from this blow. Link.
