Whaling Ship Now Helping Quake Victims

The Nishun Maru—the mother ship of Japan’s whaling fleet—is at long last doing something that’s not indefensible. The ship is ferrying supplies to Japan’s quake victims.

On that subject, I wouldn’t be surprised if the staggering expenses associated with 2011 Tōhoku earthquake convince Japan to abandon its government-subsidized whaling program. (Thanks, Lok.) Link.
