Outrageously good local TV news coverage of Iowa State Representative Annette Sweeney’s effort to outlaw the filming of animal undercover investigations. While interviewed, Sweeney manages to make a complete botch of her argument that these investigations are staged, and then she gets caught on camera dismantling a display that activists put up opposing her bill.
This did not go well for her. It’s wonderful news for animals that the fate of this precedent-setting bill is dependent on the political talents of a halfwit. (Thanks, Paul.) Link.
