A mind-blowing and thoroughly depressing new infographic reveals the extent to which Atlantic fisheries have been devastated by 20th Century fishing. The implications this graphic should have on worldwide fishing regulations are enormous:

Today’s fishing quotas and policies for example are attempting to reset fish stocks to the levels of ten or twenty years ago. But as you can see from the visualization, we were already plenty screwed back then.
