FDA Bans Agribusiness’ Use of Cephalosporin Antibiotics

I’d call that a perfect response to today’s news. It’s insane that agribusiness is allowed to feed any class of antibiotics to healthy animals, and the FDA needs to ban the practice outright. If agribusiness wants healthier animals with lower rates of infection, it should improve housing while decreasing stocking densities—not rely on antibiotics to stave off disease. Link.
