Prince Charles on Agribusiness Rhetoric

February 22, 2012

The Atlantic excerpts key excerpts of Prince Charles’ May 2011 speech on food sustainability:

Why it is that an industrialized system, deeply dependent on fossil fuels and chemical treatments, is promoted as viable, while a much less damaging one is rubbished and condemned as unfit for purpose?

This strikes me as the cornerstone of agribusiness’ rhetoric, and it’s nice to see Charles expose and eviscerate this silly argument.  (Via Pollan.) Link.
