Pamela Anderson

Canadian-American actress Pamela Anderson, who initially gained fame by starring in the hit TV show Baywatch, is a longtime and deeply committed animal advocate. She has been vegetarian since she was a teen, and is now an outspoken vegan.

Anderson has repeatedly collaborated with PETA on animal rights campaigns, including her “Turn Over a New Leaf—Try Vegetarian” poster and participating in the “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” campaign. As a Canadian citizen, Pam has also voiced her opposition to the annual Canadian seal slaughter. She has more than a million Twitter followers and regularly tweets on animal protection issues.

In the summer of 2014 she received attention for turning down participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge, citing cruel animal experiments that were being performed by the ALS Association.

By standing up for animals at every opportunity, Pamela Anderson has made a huge impact on animals and the world.
